C-130s with invasion stripes in Pfalz

While hiking in the Pfalz [1], I spotted three Lockheed Martin C-130 Hercules aircraft flying in formation, one after the other, within a minute or two. Two of them had stripes on their bodies. After researching on Flightradar24 and Google, I learned that the stripes were invasion stripes [2], marking the 80th anniversary of D-Day on Jun 6, 2024 [3]. All the three C-130s belonged to the United States Air Force and were likely based at Ramstein Air Base. Pretty cool!
